Wa hoo! Another set of great products out the door from the Windows Server Solutions team. Both Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials and Windows Home Server 2011 have released to manufacturing! Remember that RTM means that we, the product team have finished with the product. Now we hand over a master image to the big DVD publishing engines at Microsoft, as well as online places like TechNet and MSDN or even Eval, OEM and other channels. It takes some time (they all work at their own pace) before you can get your hands on it. Check out the blogs below for further information on release timetables.
Windows Small Business Server 2011 is the ideal first server for small businesses with up to 25 users, providing a cost-effective, easy to use solution for protecting, organizing and accessing company data from anywhere. With LoB support you have a platform for the small business that can connect to online services for e-mail, collaboration and other applications. Small businesses can now backup their PC and Mac computers without having Home Server running on site.
