Looks like GoDaddy is finally getting it. From what I understand, they are handing out $20 SSL certificates (for low bandwidth sites). But if you have customers, or you yourself wants a signed certificate to make your life a lot easier. That's a pretty decent price

I use http://certs.ipsca.com/ for all my clients. The prices are very very reasonable and a root certificate is included in both IE and Firefox default installs.
Did you know that Bob Parsons (GoDaddy founder and owner) has wholeheartedly endorsed prisoner torture on his blog? I don't mean to introduce idealism into technical discussion, but I pulled my domain registration from godaddy because this wasn't the kind of company I would like to use my money to support.

If the torture of prisoners results in them giving up information needed to protect innocent lives, then Bob Parsons of GoDaddy is absolutely correct to endorse it.
